A Letter to Our Customers

The purpose of this letter is to notify you that Kre8art Studio will be closing on December 2nd, 2018. We will continue holding classes already scheduled for November and continue our regular studio hours (unless noted on the calendar) until December 2nd. If you have pottery that needs to be picked up, you will need to do so before that date. We will continue to have walk-in Paint Your Own Pottery available until December 2nd. Pottery that is painted from November 25th to December 2nd can be picked up the following weekends, (December 7th, 8th, and 9th. December 14th, 15th, and 16th. December 21st and 22nd). We will post times available for pick up on our calendar. After that time, we will no longer be available to provide assistance. Unclaimed items will be donated.

I want to thank you for your past business and support. It has been a wonderful three years with you. I wish I can continue and move to a new location. However, that is not the case. Financially and personally it is the right decision for myself and my family. Opening a business has been fulfilling and challenging at the same time. Long hours and worry. Missed sports games and family events. I will now get that time back with my family but will miss my time with you.

I will miss my students, that I have seen grow, in our summer art workshops. I’ve seen many, that have attended for three years, be fearless with their art. Willing to take chances and just “go with it”. I hope they continue to take that fearlessness with them in whatever they do. If I can find a way to work with the teens again in the summer they will be the first to know.

To our regular customers, your loyalty is truly appreciated. We have become more friends and family than store and customers. Thank you for allowing me and my staff teach you something new. You have always come in with an open mind and taken chances with your art. We strived to always teach something new in each class we held. That way you left with new knowledge to try at home or if you went somewhere else. To some, the studio was a sanctuary and therapy. A place where you can take your mind off the day or the week. The staff and I will miss being your creative support.

Studio samples will go on sale later this week (November 16th). They are handcrafted gifts that are perfect for the holidays. So if you have been eyeing one of our pieces you may want to stop by before it is gone. (This includes most of our “not for sale” items.)

A few classes and events that are still being held are...
-There is one last class being held this Saturday, November 17th. Space is still available. Visit our website to sign up to join us.
 - Art Journaling will continue every Tuesday until December 4th.
 - We will still hold our annual Small Business Saturday Ugly Sweater Day on November 24th. We are collecting toys for Toys for Tots. We are also collecting food donations for the Monroe Food Pantry throughout the month of November. You can paint an ugly sweater ornament that day for $5 and proceeds will go to the Food Pantry. (While supplies last.) We will not be giving out free ornaments that day as previously stated as we are trying to raise as much as we can to help our fellow neighbors in need.
-Our last Pet Paw Sunday will be Sunday, November 25th.

I would like to invite you to a gallery opening at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe on December 7th from 6 pm to 8 pm. Cynthia Richter, our pottery wheel teacher, and I will be displaying personal works of art in the Ehlers Meeting Room. It’s a great way to end our stay in Monroe and to be able to share the other side of our artwork to you. Our artwork will be on display in the library during the month of December.

We wish you all the best for the holiday season and the new year. I will be available during business hours through December 2nd our closing date, which will be Kre8art Studio’s final day of operation.

Thanks for the good times. With love and respect.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Lucero
